Hari pertama ke kampung halaman di Kudus, Kenzo memperlihatkan kemajuan pesat. Tadi malam dari jam tujuh malam sampai sepuluh malam Kenzo ngoceh non-stop. Aku sih ngantuk banget habis perjalanan enam jam. Teddy apalagi, habis nyetir perjalanan panjang. Jadi kami tiduran di kamar sambil dengerin Kenzo ngoceh. Lucu banget. Perbendaharaan katanya udah jauh, jauh lebih banyak dari kemarin. Biasanya aku ikut ngomong kalau dia lagi ngoceh. Tapi tadi malam capeknya luar biasa. Mana dia lama gak selesai-selesai. Aku nunggu sampai Kenzo rewel supaya bisa menidurkannya dengan mudah.

Yuk hitung-hitungan dulu, dengan asumsi disposable cuma dipakai malam hari, 2 kali ganti:
Keperluan disposable diaper sebulan = 30 hari x Rp 1500 x 2 = Rp 90.000
Kalau dipakai minimal 2 tahun = Rp 90.000 x 24 = Rp 2.160.000
Padahal kalo belum tentu sehari cuma 2 diaper. Bagaimana kalau dipakai sepanjang hari? Hm, bisa dikira-kira nih habis berapa cuma buat beli diaper yang sekali pakai langsung dibuang.
Sedangkan kalau one-size cloth diaper, dengan asumsi harga per-setnya (cover + insert) Rp 250.000, berarti dengan uang dua juta rupiah udah bisa dapat 8 set cloth diaper yang bisa dicuci ulang, bahkan bisa diwariskan ke adik-adiknya.
Kalau aku, jelas pilih cloth diaper dong!
Ini nih sebagian keunggulan one-size cloth diaper:
- tidak mengandung bahan kimia berbahaya seperti pada disposable diaper
- lebih ramah lingkungan, lebih mudah didaur ulang
- bisa dicuci dengan mudah, tinggal dicemplungin ke mesin cuci
- bahannya anti bocor, tapi juga breathable
- warna dan motif lucu-lucu, ga perlu pakai celana lagi di luarnya
- lebih irit dalam jangka panjang, apalagi kalau toilet trainingnya di usia lebih dari 2 tahun
Bukan promosi nih. Aku sih nggak jualan cloth diaper 
Waktu masa-masa setelah melahirkan dan harus pakai softex tiap hari, rasanya ga nyaman banget. Aku yakin Kenzo juga lebih suka pakai cloth diaper daripada “paper underwear”. Rela nih ga beli baju dulu buat aku. Lebih baik uangnya dipakai buat beli cloth diapernya Kenzo.
