Beberapa hari lalu ada blogku yang kena hack. Sayangnya saya telat mengetahui, sampai kira-kira 3 harian. Waktu itu saya curiga karena penghasilan adsense turun hingga 1/10-nya. Lalu saya cek “view – page source” dan ini dia penyebabnya (klik untuk memperbesar):
Penghasilan adsense menurun karena iklan-iklan yang muncul tidak sesuai dengan topik blog, melainkan mengikuti topik spam yang nilainya jauh lebih rendah.
Ternyata WordPress saya kena hack. Waktu itu masih pakai versi 2.3.1, sedangkan untuk versi terbaru 2.5.1 sudah ada sejak lama. Tapi karena malas, saya menunda waktu untuk upgrade.
Setelah itu saya langsung buru-buru mengupgrade semua blog saya ke versi WordPress 2.5.1. Untuk mempermudah pekerjaan saya pakai plugin WordPress Automatic Upgrade. Pekerjaan jadi gampang, tinggal beberapa klik langsung WordPress telah terupgrade.
Upgrade ini penting, salah satunya karena tingkat security versi terbaru pasti lebih bagus. Selain itu yang saya sukai dari versi 2.5.1 ini adalah kemampuan untuk mengupgrade plugin dengan hanya satu kali klik. Kalo dulu tiap kali upgrade plugin harus mendownload versi yang baru dan menguploadnya lewat FTP.
Yang tidak saya sukai dari WordPress 2.5.1 hanya satu: font default untuk admin area lebih kecil dibanding versi lama.
Salah satu blogku, feedburner subscriber hari ini turun drastis dari 250 ke 50. Blogku yang lain turun dari 120 ke 20an. Ada apa dengan Feedburner hari ini? Kayaknya juga bukan aku saja yang mengalami ini.
